Hrach Muradyan (born November 10, 1983) is an Armenian television host, producer, and public figure. Muradyan is known for hosting the world famous competition show “The Voice” in Armenia, the first Armenian talk show “Open Project”, and the highest-rated Armenian show “Semi-open Windows”.
Muradyan was born in a traditional Armenian family and went to school in Yerevan. He started his first steps as a host while still attending high school at the age of 14 After graduating high school, he started his higher education at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre & Cinematography, and majored in acting/directing. While attending the institute he already had his own entertainment show “Music box” on NMTV, as well as his radio show on HYE FM. His talent and ability of being a showman lead him to different television and radio shows such as “16” (Armenakob TV), “By the Way” (AR TV), “ Night of the Century” (DAR 21 TV), “Dynamite FM” (Yerevan Radio), and “Aurora” (National Radio). Meanwhile, he started producing and/or co-producing a variety of shows hosted by other television personalities, such as “Sex in the Small City”, “Sixth sense”, “Hungry Games”, “Abel’s sister” and “Bureau No.6”. By the time he graduated from the Theatre Institute, he was already a celebrity.
Therefore, he has been invited to host & produce the first ever-made Armenian talk show “Open Project”. In 2010, Muradyan, began a new era in the Armenian television reality. He started producing and hosting a talk show titled “Semi-open Windows”, which caught the attention of the psychologists, lawyers, doctors, politicians, humanitarians, environmentalists and ordinary people. “Semi-open Windows” is atalk show where gave the opportunity to needy Armenian families from all over the country to participate and tell their real stories, furthermore get help from the experts and also the donors from all over the world. “Semi-open Windows” has had a huge impact on Muradyan’s life as a person to the point that he went back to school and got his psychology degree. Meanwhile, Muradyan launched the nonprofit Semi-open Windows Foundation. During the nine years of airing the show more than 500 people have been cured from severe diseases, more than 2100 people have had psychological treatment, 2500 people have had legal services, approximately 80 people have been provided with housing, and 150 people with education; additionally, 500 ton food and 9 million pieces of clothing have been delivered to all the families who have seen their last hope in the show.
According to the Growth From Knowledge (GFK), “Semi-open Windows” have been recognized as the highest-rated show in the Armenian network for nine years continuously.
In 2014, Muradyan has been invited to host the well-known international competition show “The Voice” season 1 in Armenia, which brought him more recognition internationally.
Throughout the years, Muradyan has been awarded both in Armenian & international award shows for producing and hosting the high-rated television show “Semi-open Windows”. Additionally, Muradyan, has been titled as a humanitarian and has been awarded for his endless contribution and generous donation to the people of Armenian by different organizations such as the House of Representatives, United States Congressman, Adam Schiff. As well as the Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian, Glendale Police Department, Chief police, Robert M. Castro in recognition of Muradyan’s lifelong achievements and dedication to the community.
Today, Hrach Muradyan is a public figure known for his humanitarian and philanthropy activities. Based on National Armenian public survey, 82% of the Armenians all over the world can identify Muradyan as a television host and a public figure. Muradyan will remain producing new shows, which will educate and encourage the new generation of Armenians to become more independent, educated and persistent in their lives.
